Dr. Rusty Feagin is currently an Assistant Professor with the Spatial Sciences Laboratory at the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station and the Dept. of Ecosystem Science and Management at Texas A&M University. Rusty received his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz and his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. He teaches courses on the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) by natural resource managers, landscape ecology and conservation, and general ecology. His research interests include coastal plant ecology (sand dunes and salt marshes), erosion, coastal restoration, and the impact of sea level rise and hurricanes upon the spatial migration of plant communities.
